The Newest Project

I felt that this project was a lot of fun and had a lot of room to be creative. I did a lot of changes to some of my pictures from the beginning and overall I am pretty happy with outcome so far. I wish I knew dreamweaver a little bit more so I could add more entertainment to the website. I felt that overall it is pretty simple and that is what I was going for from the beginning. On the first page I put in some art that is pretty close to me emotionally. I also put the grey blotch to show what ends up with certain kinds of art forms that is unaccepted I was originally going to put it around some graffiti to show a experience I had in the past but I decided not to. The first page shows the increase in artistic flare that I had in my story that it was becoming more abstract and this shows various levels of just that. It also has a little bit of graffiti essentials which I thought was needed. The Second page shows my change in art along with my physical change. The wings allowed me the ability to paint higher up but technology also changed my style. This shows a combo between technology and abstractism with each square almost representing a small TV screen all creating a final picture. In the last picture the art as totally changed. In the story after I die the art becomes famous and then notorious for propaganda. Then the people decide that they want to bring my back but have to do it by making me a cyborg. I become the icon of the revolution and my art is used.

Brand Names

I have noticed that with almost all brand names there is one thing that they all share in common. The one thing is that in every single name the actually name of the company that makes the product always stands out above everything else. I know that this is a pretty dumb comment to say but I never really knew it before. The first thing that I look at it I always notice the company name first and it just makes me think that is all.

Title Page: New Project

This is my first title page for the next assignment I did a graffiti style theme with some custom images and some type from some essay's that were done in the past also I put a big slab of grey paint that is generally used to paint over graffiti that the city does. I also added some garbage cans to add to the grittyness of the whole compostion.

School: Music, Art and New Media

Everything at school is becoming really closely related to one another. I think that this is a good set up for classes to have to understand new media. It really as opened my eyes to what is considered art and the many many ways to express art. Whther you are on a computer, using a paint brush or a conductor stick they are all related and I hope that I can express that in my future projects. I would also like to incoporate snippets of my own personal life into everything I do in this class to be considered succesful.

Project Number 2

Project number 2 was very hard for me too do because I was away for so long at the funeral for my friend. I forgot the files at my families house but I was able to send them to the U of L copy center hopefully they made it through. I have no real pictures as of now but I hope to get them soon. I decided to go for a blog type because that is going to be more and more used in the future to keep journals. I think I could see myself using that in the future. I used a futuristic type and color without a lot of flashy type because it would just be a record of thoughts that most likely no one would read. I kept the info pretty plain and robotic which I think was funny at times. The story basically follows my transformations from ordinary person to a household robot that is in charge of just the Internet connection wherever the family goes and other household tasks. I enjoyed making up the story but making the layout was a bit boring since I decided to make it plain I guess it is my own fault.

Graffitti Part 2

I was thinking of for my new project I am going to do a graffiti theme on the personal web page. Last week I lost one of best friends from Vancouver and that was the way he communicated was through graffiti. I am going to page homage to him to get some closure on his death I know he would have loved to see it.

Final Thoughts (Project #1)

This project was both hard and fun for me and here are some of my thoughts on it.

In the 25 Years/Cosmetic one I wanted to retain anything from my youth. If I had the technology too stay young I would. I changed my eye color and added a tan. Also I changed some aspects I feel somewhat self conscious about like eyes and pimples.

In the 50 Years/Genetic one I had a really hard time with this one. It was very hard for me to think of anything. What I did was put wings on cause I would want to be able to fly and different eyes so I can see in the dark. On my neck is snake skin cause it looks pretty cool.

In the 100 Years/Cyborg one I had the most fun. I changed the pants pattern to more of a metallic look and the eye to add to the surreal. I also added some little details that don't shine through enough. My hands are gold and silver to add to the metallic look. I really smoothed the face to make it look less natural. On my hat there is a bar code and my left wrist there is Ethernet port.
